Spirit & Zack founded Spirit Valley in the summer of 2023 with the hopes of sharing the beautiful and healing experiences that horses offer with others.
Our journey has been unique and that reflects in the services we offer.
Spirit
Founder of Spirit Valley
Spirit developed a deep love for horses from a young age but never had the chance to take formal lessons or ride regularly. Despite years of wishing for a horse—every birthday candle, shooting star, and wishing well—her passion eventually waned as life took its course.
She pursued a career as a veterinary assistant for several years before shifting her focus to leadership development.
The global events of 2020 brought significant change, prompting Spirit to reflect inwardly and prioritize her own happiness and fulfillment.
A pivotal moment occurred during a trail ride on Mackinac Island in Michigan with Zack, which inspired them to embark on their own equestrian venture back in Nashville. Spirit promptly enrolled in a nearby lesson barn's working student program, determined to pursue her passion.

Initially feeling inadequate compared to those with more riding experience, Spirit's perseverance and curiosity led her to realize that passion can overcome any obstacle. Her journey fostered a special commitment to share the joy of horses with those who lack access to them.
Zachary
Founder of Spirit Valley
Zack's journey into riding began with the purchase of their first horse, Pistol. Despite his preference for golfing, Zack embraced his role as a horse-dad with enthusiasm. He later developed a profound connection with Maverick, his heart horse. He also considers himself a mule enthusiast and is impatiently waiting for the day we add one to the herd.
Balancing a full-time career in leadership, Zack remains dedicated to caring for their animals and managing farm projects, crucial to realizing our shared dream.
